EMD Crop BioScience is the first inoculant producer in the world to achieve both ISO 9001 and RC14001 certification.  This is proof of our commitment to quality as well as to the health and safety of our employees and to the environment in which we operate.

ISO9001 registration is a globally recognized quality standard established by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva, Switzerland.  The registration process, which has been adopted by more than 90 countries worldwide, requires companies to document all internal procedures, including training, manufacturing, research and development, and corrective and preventative action. 

RC14001 registration is a combination of ISO14001 and Responsible Care.  The ISO14001 registration is very similar to ISO9001 as it was established by the International Organization for Standardization but the standard concentrates on environmental issues rather than quality.  Responsible Care was established by the American Chemistry Council and is an extension of ISO14001 to include health, safety, and security issues.
