The entire ISO 9001 registration process took EMD Crop BioScience a year and a half to complete. In addition, EMD Crop BioScience will be reassessed every six months. Companies that fail to uphold ISO 9001 standards risk losing their registration.

ISO 9001 registration is a globally recognized quality standard established by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva, Switzerland. The registration process, which has been adopted by more than 90 countries worldwide, requires companies to document all internal procedures, including training, manufacturing, research and development, and corrective and preventative action.
